Dedication is Key!

By August 21, 2019 My Journey

Hello Everybody!

Sorry for being a day late. This weeks’ recap is about being dedicated. We all know if there is a Will then there IS a Way!! Last week I had to have surgery for Cervical Cancer and as I was waiting to go to the operating room I found time to study dip buys from Timothy Sykes video lessons. While my family patiently waited in the waiting room, I was busy studying away. The point of me writing about this is to inspire you.

I want to thank my teacher, Timothy Sykes, for nominating me as Student of The Week while his other student, Kyle, has crossed $100k in profits,  and John Papa had a fantastic trading week! Congratulations! That is me on the bottom left. If you visit Timothy Sykes on Instagram, you will see a video posted. It means so much to me that he was so kind and loves my dedication.
I hope this inspires you to be able to find the time, in any situation, to be able to spend it wisely studying. It first became a dream of mine for Tim to recognize my hard work and that I am not just another person promising to study yet never do. This is my motivation and confirmation that I am doing the right thing and the best I can!
I have to admit, I don’t kill time on social media a lot anymore as I have dedicated my free time to the stock market and being a student of Tim’s Join Timothy Sykes Millionaire Challenge
( ) . As a beginner I study everything until I have it memorized. I like his videos, leave comments, and like what I can to keep track of what I have seen/read or haven’t and what I have rewatched/read. It is always a great idea to refresh your memory and repeat information continuously.
Set little goals that you may feel accomplished about when you reach them, whether it be reading a blog post on stocks once a day, or trying your first trade/paper trade, saving up for a DVD from Tim Sykes on, or anything educational related that makes you feel great about your progress! For me, I started a Twitter account,, this blog, and StocksToTrade to hold myself accountable. Holding myself accountable and knowing everyone is watching or I am watching myself makes me want to progress. Staying transparent and honest about my process, studies, trades, everything allows me to stay honest to myself, honest to you, and holds me to my full truth. I set examples of myself for others to rely on when needing motivation and for myself.
Being mentioned and acknowledged by Timothy Sykes on his Instagram has now given me the confirmation and even more determination to succeed in being a self sufficient trader. This isn’t to brag or to get sympathy. I truly want to motivate you and show you that hard work pays off, if there’s a will then there’s a way, just keep working towards your goals and dreams.
I had help setting up a StockToTrade paper trading account the other day and I had my first really awkward trades as I had to figure out how to use the buttons on my laptop. I started from $30k paper trading funds and now they are down to roughly $29,500. This week I will be writing out a routine I need to follow in regards to Tim Sykes steps and have them taped to my laptop so that way I have physical steps to follow. It is different using the paper trading feature vs. keeping track of my entry and exit points on paper as executions are more realistic now. I will let you know this journey as it progresses!
I fully recommend baby steps into your trading career. I have gone from 6/7 months of straight studying as much as I could as I saved for DVDs and Software. Now I am practicing what I study with that software and saving to get more DVDs. To make your process easier than mine, Join Tim Sykes in his Millionaire Challenge! ( )
Thank You for reading another weeks’ update!
I truly hope this inspires you as much it does me!

Hello there, My Name is Tessa Lamping and
thank you for reading my blog!

I want to provide a short disclaimer:

I am in NO way a professional nor do I claim to be. I do not manage anyones money nor do I want you to follow my trades. My posts are solely for entertainment purposes and for myself to become more transparent on my trading journey. I use these posts to track my own progress. I do NOT recommend you try my strategy or jump into trading without a verified guru/teacher. I am an untrained trader who has been practicing for 1 month and a few days with paper trading on StocksToTrade. I am up +$500 for the month of July and 1 day of June. By the time you read this I may or may not have traded the stocks I post about. I will not guarantee you will profit from trading as 90% of traders lose. To become consistently profitable is not a typical result. I am in NO way responsible or liable for your decisions or actions as a trader. I, again, am not professional so there will be grammar and spelling errors. Just because I suggest something does not mean your results will be the same as mine if you try. My suggestions are what I am doing, have tried, and what may have or may have not worked for me.
